This year’s Asia Cup will begin with the match between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka on Saturday, August 27. The 15th edition of the Asia Cup will conclude with the final on September 11.

Team And Group of Asia Cup 2022

A total of 6 teams will participate in the event of Asia Cup 2022 divided into two groups. The two groups are Group-A and Group-B. In Group A, arch-rivals India will be joined by Pakistan and Hong Kong. Group-B consists of Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.

According to the announcement of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), the opening match between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka will be held on Saturday, August 27. The group stage matches will start from August 27 to September 2. The matches of Super Four will start from September 3 and will continue till September 9. The final between the first and second teams will be held on September 11 at the Dubai Stadium in the United Arab Emirates.

The biggest surprise in this tournament is the match between the arch-rivals India and Pakistan. Since the last T20 World Cup, no match has been played between the two teams so far due to political unrest in the two countries.
