In the same year, he got an opportunity to play for ‘Surya Tarun’, a first division cricket team coached by Shaheen and Manju. He became the second highest wicket taker for ‘Surya Tarun’ that season with 27 wickets in 12 matches.

Later, when practice was interrupted due to Corona, with the help of cricketers Nadif Chowdhury, Shaheen Manzoo, national team players Shakib, Tamim, Mushfiq and Mahmudullah Riyad got a chance to play netball. He was called up to the Bangladesh Under-19 team due to his outstanding bowling in the nets and doing well in the division. Ever since he got the opportunity, he performed well and became a reliable bowler of the U-19 national team.

In the first match of his international career, Ripon Mondal won the team with his first four wickets of his career against Afghanistan. Played many series in age-based cricket and went to play the World Cup with experience.

Despite not doing well as a team in the Youth World Cup, he made it to the best team of the 2022 Under-19 World Cup due to his good individual performance.
